Ply Stacking Chairs

Saved these vintage 1970's plywood stacking chairs from a skip this morning. Adult size chairs that are great if you are looking for that shabby industrial look. I have already listed them on ebay for just £20 each, check out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370600703737 and grab yourself a bargain...

Carn Pottery

Just back from my local boot fair & indoor market and I'm very pleased with these three large Carn pottery vases. They measure (left to right) 28cms (11"), 22cms (8 3/4") & 30cms (11 1/2").
John M Beusmans set up Carn Pottery in an Old Cornish Chapel in Nancledra on the Penzance road from St Ives in the early 1970s.
All his work is slip cast and John usually makes several moulds from a master, each one incised with a different design. The colour is produced by applying copper oxide and copper mixed with cobalt. His pieces are often abstract in shape and are instantly recognizable. His work is clearly inspired by the Cornish countryside, the sea and fishing harbours. John works with one helper and fires his pots in an electric kiln at 1140°C.

Carn pieces are backstamped with a rubber stamp, have a pattern number and if made by John they are hand signed with his signature.

Ercol Pebble Tables

Fantastic original 1960's set of three nesting pebble tables by Ercol.
I picked this set up yesterday afternoon and immediately set about sympathetic restoration.
I stripped & stained the tops last night and a final polish this morning to finish them, as you can see they now look absolutely stunning.
Happy days down West...

Ercol Coffee Table

I've just finished restoring this stunning large elm & beech Ercol coffee table.
Iconic British furniture makers Ercol was established in 1920 by Lucian Ercolani (1888 - 1976) in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. In 2002 Ercol moved to a new purpose built facility in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire were they still produce many of their design classics.
